Welcome to the Donor screen. In here you'll be able to handle most of the input functions of the program. The spreadsheet like grid shows you much of the donor information. The "Donor Detail" and "Contact Info" tabs on the right side of the screen also provide more data. The floating window contains donation summary information which can be "parked" anywhere on the screen or hidden if needed.
Want to handle only a few records from within your entire data set? This is easy to do by creating filters, whether via pre-set filters, queries or physically tagging the required records. The number of records in the pared-down list, shows on this screen. From this list you can "bulk-replace" various data items; print labels, envelopes or a donor list; export the names for a mail-merge; apply another query to further limit the list; or “memorize” the list for later use in reports.
To generate a more "structured" filter, you can use the powerful query builder feature. Queries can be simple or complex depending on the situation. The query builder has an easy-to-use point-and-click interface, which helps you create the needed filter quickly and easily. Your query can be saved for future use.
The Silent Partner provides a wide range of reports, all of them highly configurable by the user in order to limit the scope of the printout. Typically, the user can select a range of dates, the order in which the information will be shown, additional filters to apply to the data, and so forth. All reports can be viewed on screen before being sent to the printer and most can be exported in Excel format for further handling.
